Baby Sleep Tips (6-12 Months) - Bullabaloo

Welcome again to our baby sleep guide. As your baby grows and develops, their sleep needs will change too. Between 6 and 12 months, your baby will gradually need less daytime sleep and more night-time sleep.

Tip 1: Encourage Daytime Feeding

By encouraging more daytime feeds, you can reduce the likelihood of your baby waking up hungry at night.

Tip 2: Foster a Sleep-friendly Environment

Ensure the room is dark and the temperature is comfortable. A white noise machine can also be helpful to drown out disruptive noises.

Tip 3: Be Mindful of Teething

Teething can disrupt your baby's sleep. Look out for signs of teething and manage it accordingly with teething rings or gels, if necessary.

Tip 4: Encourage Independent Sleeping

Continue to promote self-soothing and independent sleep to ensure your baby can resettle themselves if they wake at night.
